Mary Jane (Cook) Michael was born March 25, 1929 in Brenham, Texas to Norman Henry Cook & Emma Belle Smith Cook. She married George Wayne Michael in Bay City, Texas on November 4, 1946. He was the love of her life till he departed to his heavenly home on March 13, 2019. Janie was reunited with him on June 5, 2019.

Janie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & friend. She touched so many lives during her time on this earth.

Janie is preceded in death by husband George Wayne, her only son Mark, and daughter-in-law Donna. She is survived by granddaughter Julie Pena of Austin and husband Mario, great granddaughter Carmen Pachicano of Austin, several nieces, family friend Tina Hernandez of Bay City & Rachel Ashworth of Van Vleck.

Visitation begins at 11:00am Saturday June 8, 2019 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Services will follow visitation at 1:00pm at the funeral home, with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are G.W. Franzen, Carlos Hernandez, Paul Hanna, Pat Matthes , Mario Pena & Toby Coones
