Janie Beyer, 89, of Midfield passed away January 17, 2018. She was born November 8, 1928 in El Maton, TX to the late Vincent Lejsal and Johanna Tomeckova Lejsal.

Janie enjoyed working in her flower beds, baking kolaches for her family, friends and church functions at St Peters Catholic Church. She enjoyed visiting on the phone, sending birthday cards, writing letters about regular everyday events in her life to family and friends. She also loved dewberry picking.

Veterans had a special place in her heart especially since her husband was a WWII veteran.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar C. Beyer, Sr., a daughter Rose Marie Beyer and 10 siblings, and 1 sister in law.

Survivors include daughters Theresa Strack (Randy) of El Campo and Donna Beyer of Houston; sons Edgar C. Beyer, Jr. (Connie) of Danevang, Gary Beyer (Glynda) of LaWard, James Beyer (Diane) of Markham and David Beyer (Samantha) of Prospect, TN; sister-in-law Beatrice Lejsal; Grandchildren Stacey Charbula, Cody Strack, Justin Strack, Felicia Clark, Brandon Beyer, Jeri Beyer, Becky Michel, Richard Beyer, Kristin Wyatt, Colby Ruf, Seth Beyer. 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Sunday visitation will start at 4 with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Blessing. Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 22 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Rev. Samuel Appiasi officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Beyer, Richard Beyer, Seth Beyer, Cody Strack, Johnny Lejsal, Edgar Beyer, Jr. Justin Strack will serve as honorary pallbearer.
