James "Jimmie" Whitman Williams, 85, of Bay City passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 after a short illness. He was born September 25, 1935 in Bay City, TX to the late Arley Whitman and Jessie Mae Holloway Williams.
Jimmie was a Bay City High School graduate and proud Blackcat football player and lifelong supporter.
He married the love of his life, Angie Mae Hamilton Williams on December 16, 1955. From their union came three children, Phyllis Lee Williams, James Clayton "Clay" Williams and Kenneth "Kenny" Williams.
Traveling around the United States throughout their lifetime, Jimmy managed various power plants, eventually returning to his hometown of Bay City in 1980 to work at the South Texas Nuclear Plant. After retirement from his position in the Nuclear Industry, Jimmie enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Hazel Williams Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Angie Hamilton Williams; daughter Phyllis Williams; sons James Clayton "Clay" Williams and wife Drenda and Kenneth "Kenny" Williams and wife Suzette; sister Patricia Ann Williams; brothers Freddie Williams and Paul Williams and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 2:00 PM. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
