James Leeland "Jim" Weaver, 74, of Sargent, TX passed away on August 20, 2017. He was born on August 27, 1942 in Edna, Texas to the late Jerry Thomas and Mavis Dehay Weaver.

Jim retired from Celanese after 32 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved life.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Nettie Hahn Weaver of Sargent; sons Toby Weaver of Bay City, Texas, and Kevin Weaver of Katy, Texas; ; sister Geraldine Gregory; grandchildren Joseph Weaver, and Kirsten Sammons and husband Jon; great-grandchildren Lydia Weaver, Creed & Henry Sammons, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00-7:00pm Wednesday, August 23 at the funeral home. Funeral services are10:00am Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers are Ricky Kramer, Ronnie Kramer, Joseph Weaver, Jon Sammons, Bill Kucera, Jim Farmer and Pete Ingram.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75231.
