James Allen Thaden, 85, of Bay City, was born on May 15, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ude Thaden & Katherine Harmsen Thaden, he passed away on September 15, 2021.

His hobbies were hunting, fishing, gardening, and craftsmanship. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell hunting/fishing tales. He was a great Papa to all of his grandkids.

James was preceded in death by his parents; son Bobby J. Nelon; sister Betty Beken, and brother John Thaden. He is survived by his wife Marsha Thaden; daughter Jeanne G. Thomas and husband Bruce; his son James L. Thaden; his sister Mary Lou Coker; grandchildren Danielle Ashcraft and husband Taylor, Samantha Thomas, Megan Thomas, Bobby Nelon and wife Tacha, Brandon Thaden, Johnny Nelon and wife Norma; his great-grandchildren James Nelon, Scarlett Nelon, Jocelyn Nelon, Johnny Nelon, Baylenn Thaden, and Frannie Ashcraft.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday September 25, 2021 at Taylor Bros Funeral Home.
