On June first 2012 James Curtis Marshall Jr. known to his family as Jimmy and to his friends as J C passed over from this world and into the loving arms of his precious mother and Our Lord Jesus Christ. He was born on May 29, 1952 in Fairbanks, Alaska to the late James Curtis and June Evelyn Maher Marshall. He grew up in Bay City, Tx. where he graduated from high school in 1970. From there he went on to serve in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. He became a police officer and served his community. He was also a volunteer fire fighter. He served as head of the security detail for the Ford (President Ford) Ranch, and head of the security detail at the Ford Museum in Michigan. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, as well as participating in The Cowboy Action Shooting Club in Columbus, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and his faithful companion Buddy. He has left behind his brother and friend Robert "Dale" Marshall, his loving sister Sally Gray, brother-in-law Tony Gray; his two beautiful daughters, Gwenan Marshall and Erica Bullecks.; two granddaughters, Rose and Kathryn; nieces, Brandy Gray, Christy Stuart and Kim Marshall; nephews, Ryan Marshall and Mike Stuart; Great-nieces , Lauren, Allison and Brooke; great-nephews, Jacob, Jack and Aiden. He has also left behind many close friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bay City with the Rev. Chester Sassman officitating. Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-8:00P.M. at the funeral home. This is not goodbye forever, only goodbye until we all ride again together
