James Wallace Keenon, 80, of Van Vleck passed away September 14, 2007. He was born December 8, 1926 in Denton, Texas to the late John Huey Keenon and Elizabeth McGuire Keenon. He had been a resident of Matagorda County since 1962 and was a school teacher and administrator for Van Vleck ISD and Garwood ISD.

He is survived by his wife Edna Miller Foster Keenon of Van Vleck; sons Michael F. Keenon & wife Sue of Weimar, TX and Patrick J. Keenon of Van Vleck; grandchildren Ross Edward Keenon & Kelly Ann Keenon and great grandchild Riley Elise Keenon. He was preceded in death by his brother John H. Keenon.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hutson officiating. Graveside service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Lehrer Memorial Cemetery in Garwood, TX. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. 979-245-4613.
