Obituary
James R. Cox, 74, of Bay City passed away Dec. 3, 2009. He was born Dec. 18, 1934 in Seymour, Indiana to the late Werner G. & Jennie Marie Herring Cox. He served in the US Marines and worked for many years at Celanese.
His wife Loretta Vaughan Cox preceded him in death in 2006. Survivors include his faithful companion Sandra Glick of Bay City; daughter Lora Cerena Thompson & Dickie of Markham; sons James Edward Cox of Ardmore, OK & Ronald Patrick Cox & Elsa Smith of Van Vleck; sisters Kathleen Hadden of Panama City, FL & Pat Barnard & Bob of Panama City, FL; brothers Terry Ray Cox of Panama City, FL, Carroll Cox & Violet and Ranzall Cox & Betty all of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Jade Cox, Heather Elaine Cox & Tyler Marie Cox , Cody Thompson & Heath Thompson & family.
The family will receive family and friends from 6pm to 8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, Dec. 7, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Christmas officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Marvin Christmas, Bill Smith, Shawn Glick, Johnny Englehart, Richard Cox & Dewey "Tex" Vaughan.
