Obituary

James Monroe Brannen, Jr. passed away October 10. 2012. He was born June 22, 1930 in Toltec, Arkansas to the late James Monroe and Norma Sims Brannen. He retired from Local 22 as an insulator. Following retirement he moved to Bay City where he worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart for the past 18 years.

He is survived by his three children, Tina Cook, Karon Soulcheck, and James H. Brannen; his grandchildren Diana Joaquin, Christy Cook, Crystal Brannen, Dawn Romero, Jason Medellin, Christopher Nichols and Melissa Vasquez; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Macy Joaquin; and the "Olds Mans" best friends David Torrez, Sr., David Torrez, Jr. and Carlos Torrez. James (a.k.a. Pawpaw/"Old Man") was a loving, caring father, grandfather and friend. He loved to hang out , have fun, tell stories and loved the ladies.
