Jalynn Rene Gomez, age 15, of Sweeny, TX, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on January 14, 2026. She was born on April 15, 2010, in Lake Jackson, and was a cherished daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, and friend.
Jalynn was a blessing to those who knew her. She was known for her gentle spirit, loving heart, compassion, smile, & faith. Jalynn loved making Tik Tok’s, playing her Xbox, playing tennis, her time as an SHS Belle, baking and was always ready for her next adventure. Her life reflected love and care for others, even in moments when she quietly carried her own burdens. “Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14
Throughout her life, Jalynn faced struggles that were not always visible to those around her. She fought a silent battle with mental health, a reminder that many walk through valleys unseen. In this, we are reminded of God’s Word: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Though her earthly journey ended too soon, we place our trust in God’s mercy and grace. We find peace in knowing she is now fully restored and at rest in His presence. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” — Revelation 21:4
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8
In honoring Jalynn’s life, her family hopes her story encourages awareness, compassion, and understanding surrounding mental health. May her life remind us to extend grace, speak openly, and support one another in love. “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Jalynn was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Ernestina and Joe Cabarrubia . She is survived by her Mother, Monica Gomez, sisters Khyra Denson (Korben) and Khayla Gibson ( Ethan), grandparents David and Mely Hernandez, and Nancy Delgado, nieces Kailynn, Kalli , Elena, and loved ones, who will forever hold her in their hearts.
A funeral service will be held on January 24, 2026 at 10am at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Bay City, Texas; 5701 Seventh St; Bay City, TX 77414. Graveside service will be at the Angleton Cemetery at 2pm; 328 Cemetery Rd; Angleton, TX 77515.
The family kindly asks for continued prayers and comfort during this time.
“The Lord bless you and keep you.” — Numbers 6:24
