Jacqueline Baxter Newton

On September 13, 2019 Jackie, loving mother of six children, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 87, just a few weeks short of her 88 ^th birthday.

She was born September 28, 1931 in Bay City, TX to the late William and Fannie Baxter. Jackie had a passion for poker and her poker friends. She loved playing Bingo and poker with her senior friends in her independent living facility where she had lived for the past three years. She had a kind and compassionate spirit.

Jackie is survived by her six children Bill DuBose of Victoria, TX, Jerry DuBose and wife Tammye of Webster, TX, Connie Hausler and husband Larry of League City, TX, Leslie DuBose of Needvillle, TX, Carolyn DuBose of Katy, TX and Michael Newton of Katy, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren Curtis Melchoir, Aaron DuBose, Gwen DuBose and Joshua Newton and great-grandchildren Tyler Melchoir and Kaitlyn Melchoir.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Matagorda Cemetery in Matagorda, Texas.
