Jackie Foss, 67, of Bay City passed away July 12, 2016. She was born November 13, 1948 in Bay City, to the late James Rae McWhirter and Edith Bell Senich McWhirter.

She was preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart Jim Foss in 2014. The two were married on June 13, 1969 in Bay City, Texas at The First Baptist Church. After graduation from Bay City High School she continued her education at Sam Houston State University achieving a double major in Art. She taught early education at Van Vleck ISD for several years and later went on to work with her husband for Modern Living Mobile Homes until acquiring Foss Hardy and Arbuckle Insurance Agency in the late 1980's. Jackie was involved with many community services, including The Pilot Club, The Garden Club, Junior Service League where she served as a member for 24 years. Jackie was also involved as secretary and treasurer for over 30 years of The Holding Pen Club. Jackie truly loved to be outside, spend time with friends and family and enjoyed life to its fullest.

She is survived by her daughters Chelsea Ferguson & husband Richard and Alyson Mitchell & her husband Craig and by her grandchildren Emily Bowers, Gage Ferguson, Lexi Mitchell and Olivia Mitchell. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends who have been her rock and her companions since Jim passed away.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 7PM Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 15, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Cartwright, Kerry Crowley, Drayson Coats, Ron Foss, Benny Judkins and John Laughlin. Gage Ferguson and Bubba Simons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
