Jack Forrest Stevens, Sr., 78, of Cedar Lane passed away Feb. 20, 2009. He was born Aug. 4, 1930 in Houston, TX to the late Abe Stevens, Sr. & Myrtle Pierson Stevens.

His brothers Frank and Ned Stevens and grandson Colby Morris all preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Margaret Thornton Stevens of Cedar Lane; daughters and their husbands Shirley & Jim Page of Sargent and Michelle & Lynn Davidson of Lake Jackson; son Jack Stevens, Jr. of Cedar Lane; sister Tece Parker of Van Vleck; brother Abe Stevens, Jr. of Cedar Lane; grandchildren Cody Morris & wife Brandi, Cole Morris, Seth Ogletree, Danielle Ogletree, Tiffani Davidson, Scott Page & Jamie Page and great grandchildren Caden and Colton Morris & Katie Hudson.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm to 7pm Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Zach Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.
