Jacinto Garza, Jr., 76, of Freeport, TX, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008. He was born August 10, 1931 in Louise, TX to Josefa Jasso Garza and Jacinto Garza, Sr. He was a resident of Freeport for the past 40 years, a former member of the National Guard, a former long time resident of Palacios and a member of 1st Missionary Baptist Church of Freeport.

He is survived by his daughter: Deborah Castillo of Bay City; his son: David Rene Garza, Sr. of Houston; two sisters: Mary Guajardo of Texas City and Lillie Perez of El Campo; by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, by two sons: Ruben and Kenneth Vaness; a sister: Feliciana Llanes; and his brother: Raynaldo J. Garza.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, April 21, 2008 at Palacios Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Palacios Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rudy M. Castillo, David R. Garza, Jr., Damien G. Garza, Darren W. Garza, David R. Garza, Sr. and Manuel DeLaGarza.
