Iva F. Pruett, 88, of Cedar Lane passed away Jan. 20, 2009. She was born Nov. 2, 1920 in Van Zandt County to the late John Francis & Vada McKnight Malone. She was a loving mother and grandmother and member and former Sunday School Teacher at Cedar Lane Baptist Church.

Her husband Cecil E. Pruett, Sr. and four sister preceded her in death. Survivors include sons & their wives Mike & Harrolyn Pruett of Cedar Lane, Eddie & Mary Pruett of Katy and Ronny & Helen Pruett of Bay City; sister Ruth Garfield of Lago Vista, TX; grandchildren Tiffany & Mike Foltyn, Todd & Heidi Pruett, Tammye & Cary Everidge, Tonya & Wade Schulz, Heather & David Sewell, Holly & David Jordan, Amanda Pruett, Sarah Pruett & Justin Pruett and great grandchildren Kassidy & Kylie Pruett, Bailye Foltyn, Pruett, Jenna & Olivia Schulz, Amber and Brandon Bearden, Lydia Pruett and Bethany Pruett.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm to 7pm Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 at Cedar Lane Baptist Church with Rev. Zach Nicholson & Rev. Robert Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Todd Pruett, Justin Pruett, Mike Foltyn, Wade Schulz, Cary Everidge & David Sewell. Brandon Bearden and Pruett Schulz will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Cedar Lane Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
