Ismael Martin Rodriguez, 72, of Palacios, Tx, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 13, 2025. He was born on December 05, 1952, in Pasadena, Tx to the late Antonio G. Rodriguez and the late Lupe Alamia Rodriguez. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He was an U. S. Army veteran that received the National Defense Service medal of honor for his service. He also received his associates degree from Wharton County Junior College. After his career and retirement from ALCOA aluminum plant, he became an instructor at Victoria College in Victoria, Tx teaching millwright classes, which he enjoyed immensely. He was loved by his family, and he loved the Lord, where he attended every Sunday service at the Church of God of Prophecy in Palacios, Tx where his own brother, Lloyd Rodriguez is the pastor.
He is survived by his beloved sons: Christopher Rodriguez (Scottie) of Palacios, Tx, Josh Rodriguez of Palacios, Tx and one beloved daughter, Ashley Rodriguez Harrison (Zeth) of Missouri. His legacy will continue and thrive throughout his eight beautiful grandchildren: Sabrina Lapinto Rodriguez of Pennsylvania, Christopher Rodriguez, Jr., Lailoni Rodriguez and Cain Rodriguez of Palacios, Tx; Cameron Rodriguez of Palacios, Tx and Tynlea, Zuriah and Liam Harrison of Missouri. Also, two great-grandchildren: Sanae Lopinto and Nathan Fidler, Jr. of Pennsylvania. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was also survived by his three brothers: Antonio Pardo (Terri) of Palacios, Tx, Mario Rodriguez (Dora) of Victoria, Tx and Lloyd Rodriguez (Debi) of Palacios, Tx. And four sisters; Irene Lucio (Abel) of Palacios, Tx, Veronica Constancio (Jesse) of Victoria, Tx, Elizabeth Rodriguez (Simon) of Wharton, Tx and Virginia Salazar (Martin) of Pearland, Tx. Along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio G. and Lupe A. Rodriguez. His niece, Lori Rodriguez Pate and sister in-law, Cindy Rojas Rodriguez.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Church of God of Prophecy located at 510 4th Street, Palacios, Tx with family viewing starting at 8 am, public viewing starting at 9 am and funeral service starting at 10 am. Burial service immediately follows at the Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers are Lloyd Rodriguez, Christopher Rodriguez, Jr., Cain Rodriguez, Sam Constancio, Jason Constancio, Matthew Serrato and Santiago Rodriguez.
Ismael (Mileh's) smile and quick wit will be greatly missed. His dedication and compassion to his family, friends and students will be dearly missed, but lovingly remembered by all that knew him.
