Isabel Ybarra, 97, of Bay City passed away November 21, 2017. She was born July 8, 1920 in Vanderbilt, Texas to the late Abraham Ybarra and Maria Puente Hernandes Ybarra.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Yolanda Ybarra, her husband Trinidad Ybarra and 3 brothers Amadeo, Justo and Ralph Ybarra and father and mother in law Albino and Rosa Ybarra.

Mother's life was an example of grace. She lived her life with a great humbleness, love, respect, dignity and devotion to all. She shared kisses for all who knew her. She was deeply loved by a large extended family, many friends and caregivers.

Survivors include daughter Rosemary Rodriguez and her husband Guadalupe (Deacon Walley) Rodriguez of Bay City; sons John Y. Ybarra and his wife Ester B. Ybarra of Katy, TX and Abraham Ybarra and his wife Ann Phelps of New Braunfels, TX; granddaughters Sonya D. Ybarra and Yolanda Betancourt and great grandchildren Noah, Luke and Bella Rose Betancourt and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Friday, November 24, 2017 at the funeral home with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alfredo Ybarra, Jose Ybarra, Manuel Ybarra Jr., Reynaldo Ybarra Jr., Venancio Ybarra and Juan Garza.

The family would like to thank the ladies that were caregivers to mom during her stay at home. We would also like to thank Matagorda House Legacy Campus that cared for her during her 6 year stay.
