Isaac Ortiz Ayala, 73, was born on June 3, 1948 in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Filemon Ayala and Carmen Ortiz. He went to be with our Heavenly Father on October 9, 2021 in Bay City, TX.

At a young age Isaac was a hard worker and took on the responsibility at the passing of his father to help support his family. He immigrated to the US in search of better opportunities. He found work in many industries and eventually made his career as a machine operator at Interplast.

In 1981, he met the love of his life, Sonia Duran Ayala, and they were wed in 1988, married at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in 1992. They raised four children in Palacios, TX taking on the responsibility of raising two children and fathered two sons. He dedicated his life to his family, career, and had a passion for gardening. He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors. He will be truly missed by all of his loved ones.

Isaac is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Eliseo Ayala. He is survived by his wife Sonia Ayala of Palacios; sons Larry Tijerina (Gabby H.) of Little Elm, TX, Augustine (Gus) Ayala and Carlos Ayala (Mari M.) of Palacios; daughter Amanda Duran (Raul H.) of Houston; sisters Gloria Ayala, Hermelinda Ayala, and brother Raul Ayala (Josefina) all Mexico; sister Isalia Ayala of El Campo; brothers Jaime Ayala (Maria) and Miguel Ayala (Armida) of California; 5 grandchildren and one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Holy Rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 pm with Fr. Eliecer Patiino officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gilbert Duran, Jr., Robby Duran, Richard Duran, Jr. Eliseo Ayala, Danny Ayala and Isac Zamora.
