Irene Davis Jenkins, 87, of Van Vleck passed away Feb. 13, 2009. She was born August 28, 1921 in Waller County, TX to the late Gus and Frances Janovsky Hartman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Vleck and had been a resident of Van Vleck since 1960. She married Clarence Jenkins on Aug. 1, 1959.

She was preceded in death by her fist husband Bill Davis. Survivors include her husband Clarence Jenkins of Van Vleck; daughters and their husbands Wanda & Leonard Roberson of Livingston and Beverly & Ernie Croucher of Richmond; son & his wife Russell & Carol Davis of Missouri City, TX; sister & her husband Edna & Lonnie Mikeska, Sr. of Waller, TX; grandchildren Dee Ann Cathey, Donna Lynn McCollum, Jana Davis, Lauren Davis, Pinny Jones, Melanie Thompson and Melissa Croucher; great grandchildren Kristen Lynn Buehler, & Megan Dee Ann McCollum and great-great grandson Brandon Matthew Buehler.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4pm to 6pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, Feb. 16, 2009 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Al Lowe, Rev. Russell Davis & Rev. Jack Hutson officiating. Interment will be 4:30 PM Monday at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, TX. Pallbearers will be Leonard Roberson, Ernie Croucher, Mark McCollum & Matthew Buehler. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
