Illa Raye Aoughsten Jalufka was born in Palacios, Texas on March 23, 1948 to Dollie Pauline Koopman and John Harry Aoughsten. She passed away on January 7, 2019 in Victoria, Texas after a courageous battle with illness.

Illa is preceded in death by her mother Dollie Pauline Koopman, father John Harry Aoughsten, step-father Eddie Koopman, sisters Wanda Gonzales, Dottie Epperson, Martha Seaman, and great grand-daughter, Lillian Jalufka. She is survived by her husband Edward Jalufka, sons John (Robin) and Edward Jr. (Penny). Grandchildren Patrick Jalufka, Elisabeth Jalufka, Kiley Jalufka, Emily Jalufka, and Allison Pesina. Great-grandchildren John Patrick Jalufka and Luna K Berry.

Visitation will be Thursday January 10, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Palacios Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00am Friday, January 11, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gary Thomas, Ryan Thomas, Patrick Jalufka, Gene Brister, Ashley Jalufka, and Curtis Howard. Honorary pallbearers are Allison Pesina, Elisabeth Jalufka, Kiley Jalufka, Emily Jalufka, John Patrick Jalufka and Luna K. Berry.

In lieu of flowers Mrs. Jalufka has requested that donations be made in her name to Palacios Pet Pals.
