Ignacia Cervantes Barron, 80, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2006. She was born July 31, 1925 in Boling, TX to Tomasa Moreno Caballero and Reyes Cervantes. She was a resident of Bay City since 1974 and was a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her Daughters and Sons-in-law: Esperanza & Daniel Dominguez of Bay City, Maria & Joe Ramirez of Wharton, Alicia & Eulojio Lopez of Bay City, and Blanca Estela & Oscar Gonzalez of Bay City; by her Sons and Daughter-in-law: Paul Barron of Victoria, Alejandro Barron of Kerrville, and Daniel & Alice Caballero of Bay City; by her sisters: Olivia Montalbo of Bay City, Dominga DeLeon of Angleton and Elvira Montalbo of Van Vleck; by her brothers: Jesse Caballero and Joe Caballero, both of Houston; and by 22 – grandchildren, 32 – great-grandchildren, and 3 – great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Emilio S. Barron; by her parents: Tomasa M. Caballero and Reyes Cervantez; by a son: Johnny V. Barron; by 2 sisters: Anita Ramirez and Mary Ojeda; by 3 brothers: Pete Cervantes, Frank Servantes and Tony Caballero; and by her grand-daughter: Belinda Marie Barron.

A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, July 21, 2006 at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Lay Minister Gloria L. Baldearena officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Rick Lopez, John Paul Lopez, Marty Lopez, Joe Ramirez, Jr. Mario Mejia, Julio Mejia, Domingo Mejia, Joel Rodriguez, Adrian Martinez, Steven Martinez, Alexander Barron, Jr. and Roni Ortiz.
