Hubert Dewayne (Peewee) Orr, 76, of Van Vleck passed away on September 29, 2014 in Sugar Land. He was born October 21,1937 to the late Wayne & Hattie Orr. Dewayne served his country in the US Navy, was a long time resident of Van Vleck, and captained tug boats for Parker Bro/ Matagorda Shell for many years. He was retired from Zachary/US Contractors.

Dewayne is survived by his wife of 50 years: Nova Jean Orr; 3 sons and their families: David Orr and wife Sandra of Cedar Lane, Franky Orr of Van Vleck, and Chris Orr and Amy also of Van Vleck; 2 sisters: Patsy Wright and husband James of New Braunsfels and Shirley Jean Cachia of Blessing; brother: Tommy Orr and wife Betty of Oregon; step-mother: Ruby Orr of Blessing; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father: Wayne Orr of Matagorda, mother: Hattie Orr of Matagorda, and a brother: Phillip Orr of Bay City.

The family will be receiving visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday October 3, 2014 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Hobbins officiating. Pallbearers are Joseph Geracci, Lonnie Lewis, Wes Swank, Dave Behlan, Sandra Orr and Bobbie Behlan. Honorary Pallbearers are Kevin Orr and Carl J. Ming. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
