Hubert Orr, Jr, 75 of Wadsworth, TX passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007 in Clute, TX. He was born September 12, 1932 in Lake Victor, TX to Hubert Orr, Sr. and Annie Alexander Orr. He was a resident of Matagorda County for the past 56 years and was a retired Foreman and Operator from Matagorda County Precinct 2. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Matagorda and a US Army veteran of the Korean War era.

He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Wiley & husband Ronnie of Richwood; his sons: Hubert Earl Orr & wife Missie of Marysville, WA, Joseph Mark Orr & wife Vivian, and David Paul Orr of Matagorda; by his half sisters: Dorothy Wimberley of Rogers, TX, Alice Mahoney of Paradise, CA, Laquita Bourg of Luling, LA, and Sandra Schneweis of Clafton, KS; and by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lillie Mae Orr; his parents: Annie & Hubert Orr, Sr., and by numerous sisters and brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Ryman officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery, Matagorda, TX. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Joseph, Brandon, Daniel, and Lucas Orr, and John Paul Landry. Honorary pallbearers are his fellow co-workers of Matagorda County Precinct 2.
