Homer Ortiz, Jr., 57, of Bay City passed away June 3, 2026. He was born September 21, 1968 in Bay City.

He enjoyed fishing, gambling/game room adventures, Kayaking and Flying Kites. He also liked traveling, meeting new Primos/friends, watching Price Is Right @ 10:00 and Jeopardy @ 11:00 and Judge Judy at 4:00 all undisturbed. He loved everyone and always made people laugh. He was very proud of his kids. He loved to BBQ, but never quite finished cooking before turning it over to someone else.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Alameda, Sr. and sister Sally Ortiz. Survivors include his mother Connie Alameda; daughters Erica Oritz and April Ortiz; sons Homer Ortiz III, Richy Ortiz, Danny Ortiz and James Ortiz; siblings Hila Martinez, Narcey Alameda, Ernest Ortiz, Freddie Alameda, Jr., Augustine, Alma, Michelle and Linda Ortiz; grandchildren Aniyah, Kayla, Prince, Rhys, Willow, Saint, Richy, Jr., Emmanuel and Eliseo and great grandchild Azekiel.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 19, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Joe Ramos officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Homer Ortiz III, Richy Ortiz, Danny Ortiz, Ernest Ortiz, James Ortiz and Freddy Alameda, Jr.
