Hoa Tran, 82, of Palacios went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on June 29, 2024.

He was born May 5, 1942 in DaNang, Vietnam.  He married the love of his life, Phuc Nguyen, and they had seven children together.

Hoa was known to everyone as having the biggest heart (literally) because he gave of himself to help others no matter who you were, what you needed, or when.  He had a servant's heart and devoted his life to Jesus Christ and the church. He was happy to be a member of the Knights of Columbus and wore his vest proudly.  Hoa always told everyone he met, "I am very rich, not in wealth but in faith, love, and family.  My children (grandchildren) are my gold."  Hoa will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Anh Nguyen.

Survivors include his wife, Phuc Nguyen; Children: Tommy Tran (Thuy), Lysa Moellenkamp (John), Kymberli Zamarripa (Peter), Rikki Tran (Rose), Scott Tran (Tiara), Cindy Nguyen (Hai), Kim Tran (Thanh); Grandchildren: Thai(Dung), Huyen(Edgar), Kieu (Eddie), Tuan, Jannifer(Clay), Tommy, Svannah, Serena, Noah, Madalyn(Alex), Jadon, Brayden, Kayden, Hannah, Edan(Avery), Kassidy, Kodi, Kery, Avery, Preston and 12 great grandchildren: Ethan, Kaylee, Ella, Every, Emery, Ezra, Edward, Evelyn, William, Liliana, Violet, and Elias.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday July 3rd and Thursday, July 4th.  Visitation will be at 4:30pm on July 5, 2024 at Duc Me LaVang Catholic Church, 100 Vietnam St. Palacios Tx.   Funeral mass will be at 10:00am Saturday, July 6, 2024 with Rev. Dominic officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery.  Lead Pallbearer will be his first grandson, Eric Thai Tran.  Pallbearers will be grandsons: Noah Zamarripa, Edan Tran, Jadon Tran, Brayden Tran, Kodi Nguyen, Kery Nguyen.
