Hilda Cecilia Jalufka known to so many as Nee-Nee, died peacefully in her sleep at Bay Villa Nursing Home at the age of 98 on Sunday September 27, 2009. She was born July 5, 1911 in Weimar, Texas to Adolph Macha and Mary Witte Macha. Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Mansvet William Jalufka. She was the last survivor among her ten siblings.
Hilda is survived by her daughter Dorothy (Peppie) Jalufka Hester of Houston and her son, William (Billy) Bernard Jalufka, Sr. of Blessing. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Debra Ann Hester Kronke, Donna Ann Hester, Kelly Renee Jalufka Siegler, William (Billy) Bernard Jalufka, Jr. and Lea Michelle Jalufka. Predeceasing Hilda were her son-in-law, Richard Eugene Hester and her granddaughter Dianne Ann Hester. Hilda also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, a beloved sister-in-law Judy Houseworth of Wharton and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to the funeral service to be held Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 10:00 in the morning at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Father Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing, Texas.
