Obituary
Herman Neil Hartsfield, 94, passed away January 8, 2018 in Bay City, Texas. He was born September 12, 1923 in Hope, Arkansas to Olen E. and Mirtie Maud Hartsfield.
Neil married "the love of his life" Ellanora Bell on May 29, 1946 in Bay City, Texas. They were married for 71 years.
Neil is survived by his wife Ellanora, son Herman Neil (Chip) Hartsfield, Jr. and wife Kay. Daughter Beverly LeFevre and husband Vic. Grandson Cody LeFevre and companion Malia Palk. Great-granddaughter Kailani Jade LeFevre. Brother George Hartsfield, Sisters Flavie Reinsch, and Althea Hartsfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Wm. Alford and Mark Hartsfield and Sisters Lucille Williamson and Zelma Harris.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, January 11 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City, TX.. Services will be held 2:00pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at Northside Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, 2721 Carey Smith Blvd (16th & Sycamore St.), Bay City, TX 77482. Pastor Tommy Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those interested make a donation to Northside Chapel Fellowship Hall Building Fund or donor's choice.
