Hazel Mae Fehmel, 96, of Bay City passed away August 18, 2017. She was born May 10, 1921 in Dennison, Texas to the late Frank Slagle and Inez Weaver Slagle. She was co-owner/operator of Fehmel Crop Dusting Service.

She was preceded in death by her husband J. W. Fehmel, a son Bill Fehmel, Jr. and granddaughter Karen Fehmel.

Survivors include daughters Eleanor Deuel & husband Les of Victoria and Rebecca Phillips of Fulshear, TX; son Ronnie Fehmel & wife Jean of Bay City; daughter-in-law Margaret Fehmel of Bay City as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5PM until 8PM Tuesday at the funeral home with a rosary recited at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadaulpe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Entombment will follow in the Good Shephard Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Benny Judkins, David Cartwright, Dan Yeagley, Delton Marback, Kenneth Easley and Kody Clark. Honorary Pallbearers will be Murry Bunk, Joe Koliba, Rick Schmidt, Johnathan Fehmel, Cody Vacek and Carlos Montelongo.
