Harry Wayne Guynes, 74, of Bay City passed away January 5, 2014. He was born November 6, 1939 in Houston, TX to the late Harry Guynes, Jr. and Violet Olive Paulk Guynes.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Guynes, son-in-law Mike Magee, Sr. and grandson Darin Wayne Guynes. Survivors include daughters Natasha Guynes of Houston and Teresa Funk & husband Justin of Lolita; sons Jody Guynes & wife Charlene of El Campo, Greg Guynes & wife Mary of Alvin and William Guynes & wife Melissa of Bay city; sisters Patricia Ratliff & husband Dan of Bay City, Sandy Trower of Angleton and Nancy Holland of Brownwood; brother Tommy Guynes & wife Lynn of Bay City; grandchildren Cody Guynes, Brent & Kasie Guynes, Daila Humplik, Ashley Humplik, Michael Magee, Jr., Geniva & Alan Magee and Dustin & Clinton Funk and by five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 Am Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jody Guynes, Greg Guynes, William Guynes, William Ratliff, Michael Magee, Jr. and Cody Guynes. Brent Guynes and Tommy Guynes will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Phillip Parker VFW Post 2438.
