Harris O'Neal Gingles, 82, of Bay City passed away Feb. 21, 2010. He was born June 2, 1927 in Ida, Louisiana to the late Harvey Samuel & Ella Mae Daniels Gingles. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Stelly Gingles of Bay City; sons and their wives Harris Gingles, Jr. & Rose Ann of Ranger, TX and David Gingles & Sharon of El Campo; sisters Joyce Gingles & Sabra Bayless of Shreveport, LA; brothers George Gingles of Shreveport, LA & Billy Gingles of Logansport, LA; grandchildren Joni, Nathan, Jason, Craig, and Brian Gingles.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. His four grandsons, D. L. Layton and Willie Denbow will serve as pallbearers.
