Harriet Elizabeth Janise, 86, of Wadsworth, Texas passed away March 31, 2025.  She was born October 4, 1938 in Houston, Texas to the late John Drapela and Margaret Collins Drapela.

She married Eddie Janise Sr. in 1960 and lived in Wadsworth, TX where they raised their three sons. Where she stayed at home until they graduated high school.  She then worked for BCISD in the food services for 16 years before retiring in May 2003.

Harriet enjoyed crocheting Afghan blankets while watching the Houston Astros baseball, Houston Texan football and NASCAR racing. She was also a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Wadsworth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eddie G. Janise, Sr. and sister Margaret Adele Rainey.

Survivors include sons Eddie Janise, Jr. (Jennifer), Nathan Janise (Pamela) and Gary Janise (Jill); sister Mary Olive Drapela; brothers Ned Drapela (Doris) and Jack Drapela; grandchildren Dustin Janise, Dylan Janise, Madison Janise, KaLeigh Sanders, Taylor Janise, Peyton Janise, Danielle Bechtel, Gage Davis, Eryn Davis and Landon Davis and great grandchildren Landon Roberts and Nolan Bechtel.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Thursday, April. 3, 2025 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Deacon Wally Rodriguez will lead a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 4, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wadsworth with Father Stephen Vacek officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.  Pallbearers will be Ned Drapela Jr., Mitch Rainey Jr., John Milliff, Micheal Jones, Eddie Perrin and Mitch Abshier
