Hardy Christmas, 79, of Bay City passed away April 12, 2014. He was born April 27, 1934 in Collegeport, TX to the late Luby Christmas and Ida Gardner Christmas. He served in the Army for 3 years, was a Tow Boat Captain for 40 years and a long time Servant at Word of Life Church for the past 16 years.

Survivors include his wife Avanell Brister Christmas; son Greg Christmas & wife Loretta; daughters Brenda Worsham & husband Michael and Sherri Christmas; sister Peggy Garrett & husband Joe; brothers Billy Christmas & wife Ann and Howard Christmas & wife Debbie; grandchildren Michael Worsham, Jarrod Christmas & wife Chelsea, Brandon Worsham, Austin Christmas, Kaleigh Christmas & Fiance` Chris Hensley and Wayne Worsham and great granddaughter Alli Christmas.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 1pm until 3pm Monday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM with Rev. Melvin Ryman officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clayton Ryman, John Dewitt, Keith Martin, Wayne Anderson, Bud McKessick and Rudy Zamora. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Dunsworth and his grandsons Michael Worsham, Jarrod Christmas, Brandon Worsham, Austin Christmas, Wayne Worsham and Chris Hensley.
