It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce our father, Hairl Eugene Bundick, has passed to be with the Lord and his wife, Sue, at the age of 84.

Hairl was born in Ashwood, Texas, to Charles William Bundick, Sr., and Bessie Alice Schultz Bundick. He worked for Runnells-Pierce Ranch from the time he could walk until he was 19. He also worked for Prep Graham running a wire line truck. But it was with Frank Brangan where he learned the electrical trade. He earned both his Journeyman and Master Electricians Certificate while employed by Dow Chemical. He retired from both Equistar and Dow Chemical. Hairl enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and storytelling over a cup of coffee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Sue Long Bundick; sisters, Bobbie Lee Davis, Velma Jane Strarup, Peggy Joyce Lucero, and Betty Jean Bundick; and brother, Charles William Bundick, Jr. He is survived by his sons; William Earle Bundick (Christy), and David Eugene Bundick; granddaughters, Vivian Claire Bundick, and Danielle Elaine Bundick; grandsons, Dakota Fortenberry, Gage Owen, and Seith Owen; sister, Margie Williams (Freddie); brothers, Paul Bundick (Joyce), Thomas Bundick (Kristy), and Richard Bundick (Annie Mae); and 17 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at 9:00am Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00am with Rev. John Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers for Hairl will be Dean Bujnoch, Jason Bujnoch, Preston Williams, Michael Bundick, Will Owens and Michael Wilks.

The family would like to thank the staff at Angels Care Hospice of Bay City for their compassionate care over the last year.
