Gussie Mae (Tasler) Baumgart, 79, of Bay City, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007. She was born September 19, 1927 in Shiner, TX to Frank N. Tasler, Jr. and Agusta Victoria Nehiba Tasler. She was a resident of Bay City since 1952 and was a retired Registered Nurse.

She is survived by her husband: Norman C. Baumgart of Bay City; by her daughters: Candace Baumgart Ibbotson and husband Roger Manteufel of Corpus Christi, TX and Christina Marie Baumgart Meyers and husband Ronnie Meyers of Nacogdoches, TX; by her son: Charles Bryan Baumgart of Santa Barbara, CA; and by her grandchildren: Timothy Scott Ibbotson, Patrick William Ibbotson, Jacob Daniel Meyers and Rebecca Marie Meyers. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank N. and Agusta Victoria Tasler; and by her sisters: Ethelyn Schreiber and Frances Ann Tasler.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Sassman officiating. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Casey Jarzombek officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Meyers, Roger Manteufel, Timothy Scott Ibbotson, Jacob David Meyers, David Davis and Bill Johnson.
