Gorje "Coco" Ramirez 74, of Bay City, went to be with the Lord March 23, 2021. He was born September 26, 1946 in El Maton, TX to Eloisa and Raymond Reyes Ramirez, Sr.  He is one of five children, along with Ramon Jr., David, Mary and Adolf Ramirez.

"Coco, as he was known by many worked in construction by trade, and retired from Walmart.  He was known for his volunteer work with the Salvation Army, ringing the bell for donations during holidays.  He was an outgoing and generous man who loved to dance and was sure to be at almost every family event.

His light and big personality will forever be remembered by all…

He is preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his wife Adelaide Guzman Ramirez; son Joe John Ramirez; daughters Ramona Huerta and Lisa Huerta; step-children Arthur Guzman, Leticia Guzman, Lisa Gonzales, Michelle Martinez, Lorensa Garduno and Merissa Lopez; his brothers and sister; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and life-long friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 1:00 pm Monday, March 29, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm, with the Funeral Mass beginning at 2:00 pm With Fr. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers are Arthur Guzman, Jose Huerta, Daniel Garcia, Erik Perales, Jeronomo Huerta and Victor Huerta. Honorary pallbearer is Frankie Gamez.
