Gloria Jean Wallace, 73, of Bay City passed away July 24, 2018. She was born July 19, 1945 to the late Austin E. Cherry and Gloria Peterson Cherry.

She graduated from Bishop High School in 1963. In 1980 she graduated from Nursing School in Bay City and received her LVN license.  She was a nurse in Bay City for 31 years working at the Medical Arts Clinic for Dr. William K. Horsley and Dr. Dane Simons.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star #380, and the VFW Post #2438 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lew L. Wallace, Jr. Survivors include daughter Pamela W. Janise (Nathan) of Selkirk; son David Wallace (Shareth) of Bay City; brother Raymond Cherry (Diane) of Sargent and grandchildren Taylor Michelle Janise, Peyton Danielle Janise and Baylee Laine Wallace.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Russ Munch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nathan Janise, Bobby Heidrich, Brandon Perrin, Trent Seidel, Brandon Vasquez and Kelby Pennington
