Obituary
Glenda Sue Owen-Foster, 64 of Bay City, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007. She was born April 21, 1942 in Mount Vernon, MO to Hollis A. Matthews and Pansy Mae McCullah Matthews.
Formerly of Lake Jackson, she has been a resident of Bay City for the past ten years. Sue was a former employee of HL&P, from December 1980 to September 1987, and then with STPNOC where she worked in training from September 1987 to January 1991.
She is survived by her husband: Mike Foster of Bay City; brother: Richard Hollis Matthews and wife Sharon of Flagstaff, AZ; by sons: David Owen and wife Kathyrn Brooks-Owen and grandson Travis Owen of Magnolia, TX and SKC Steve Owen and wife Naomi Owen, stationed in Toyoko, Japan; by daughter: Jennifer Owen of Alvin, TX; and by step children: Peter Foster, Tiffany Foster, Christopher Foster, and Mallory Foster, all of Galt, CA. Her parents Hollis A. and Pansy Mae Matthews preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 26, 2007 at the Golden Ave. Baptist Church of Bay City with Rev. Max Pluss officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, TX.
