Gilberto "Tito" Montalbo, 66, of Rosenberg passed peacefully on May 11, 2025. Tito was born on November 6, 1958, in Bay City, Texas to Olivia Cervantes and Faustino Montalbo, Sr.

He is survived by his sisters, Rosa Garcia (Domingo, Sr.) of Angleton, Mary Jasso of Bay City; brother, Manuel Montalbo (Linda) of Batesville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. Tito is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosita; and brothers, Faustino Montalvo, Jr., Jessie Montalbo, Guadalupe Montalbo and Joe Daniel Montalbo.

Though Tito's life was marked by health challenges from an early age due to a debilitating condition that left him non-verbal and unable to walk, he touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He spent many years in a group home, lovingly cared for by dedicated caregivers. Despite being unable to speak, his communication skills were remarkable, full of expression, warmth and connection. Tito's pure and gentle spirit radiated joy and his laughter was both amazing and contagious.

Tito brought light to those around him with his innocent appreciation for life's simple pleasures - coloring books, his favorite TV shows, and above all, music. Tito had a deep love for old rock and roll, especially The Beatles, whose songs always brought a smile to his face. Tito's love for music was one of his most treasured outlets. Tito's family and all those who knew him remember Tito as someone who embraced life with grace and joy. Though we mourn his passing, our hearts are comforted in knowing that he is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father, whole and in peace.

The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at 9:00am, Friday, May 16, 2025, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am with Deacon Ramos officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pallbearers for Tito will be Joey Medina, Jamie Montalvo, Sylvester Garcia, Michael Huerta, Rudy Olide and Philip Lam.
