Gilberto Gazca, 68, of Bay City passed away very peacefully December 5, 2024.  He was born December 19, 1955 in Mexico to the late Aristeo Gazca and Nicanora Bernal Gazca.

Gilbert retired after many years as a Cemetery Caretaker for Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  He was a man of integrity and loved spending time with his family.  He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia Gazca; daughter Sophia Gazca, brothers Jesus Gazca and Juan Gazca, brother-in-law Mario Lizcano, Sr.

Survivors include siblings Isabel Lizcano, Jose Angel Gazca (Nancy), Luis Gazca (Irene), Alicia Lizcano (Ramiro), Felipe Gazca, Maria Elena Garcia (Hugo), Rebecca Lopez (Rene) and Elizabeth Gazca; sister-in-law Celia Gazca; daughters Sabrina Aguilar, Sonia Johnson (Joe), Shirley Caldera (Joe) and other extended family members gained by his marriage to his loving wife, Virginia; grandchildren Virgil Gazca, Khelyn Mitchell, Jack Johnson, Romeo Rangel (Mariana), Brooklyn Nelson and D'Angelo Nelson; great grandchildren Romeo, Ricco, Royal and Benito whom he adored and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved so much.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday, December 13, 2024 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM with Sonia Johnson opening in prayer, Pastor Ramiro Lizcano officiating and Pastor Francisco Cortez closing in prayer.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.  Pallbearers will be Luis Gazca, Jose Gazca, Felipe Gazca, Virgil Gazca, Romeo Rangel and Khelyn Mitchell.
