Gilbert Willie Saha, a cherished husband, father and brother, joined his Heavenly Father on Monday July 10, 2017 at the age of 84.
Gilbert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Saha; son Glenn Saha & wife Linda of Houston; daughter Cheryl Saha of Houston; son Timothy Saha & wife Sharon of Canyon Lake and son Greg Saha & wife Cindy of Sugar Land, Texas; grandchildren Lauren, Natalie, Andrew, Ian Camille and Corrine Saha, Ali Smith, Erin Freeman and Evan Flynn. He is also survived by sister, Ella Stanley of Victoria, Texas and brothers Alvin of Angleton, and Louis and Dennis of El Maton, Texas. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Louise Saha, and sister Evelyn Willis.
Gilbert was born on August 22, 1932 in Bay City, Texas and Lived in El Maton, Texas. He was later stationed at Fort Polk, LA while serving in the Army. When he returned from service in the Korean War, he married Dorothy Krenek on November 22, 1955 in Nada, Texas.
Gilbert was a devoted husband and father & thoroughly loved spending time with all his family. He also enjoyed deer hunting & keeping an immaculate yard. He was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, attending Mass daily and served with Knights of Columbus & The 4th Degree. As a KC, he was actively engaged in many activities until recent years. He loved the Lord & prayed in front of a crucifix every morning to start his day.
In addition to his family, Gilbert had many friends that he loved.

The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 5:00pm Wednesday July 12 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. The Rosary will be at 6:30pm that evening. Mass will be 10:00am Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Fr. Greg Korenek and Fr. Gary Janek officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing, Texas. Pallbearers are Evan Flynn, Ian Saha, Andrew Saha, Jeffery Saha, Todd Saha and Kyle Freeman.
