Although Gilbert did not have any children he had numerous nieces and nephews and even more great nieces and great nephews that he shared his love with.

Anyone who knew Gilbert knew he was an avid lover of the Dallas Cowboys. He was loved by many and never met a stranger. In his younger years he enjoyed competitive games of football, horseshoes, darts, pool, checkers and shuffleboard. He loved talking mess to his friends because that was Gilbert, no one could tell him what to do. LOL

The family would like to thank all the family and friends that were supportive, understanding and continued praying for Gilbert through his different surgeries. After all, we are the hands and feet of Our Lord; it is our duty to pass on the love and compassion to our brothers and sisters.

"St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen"
