Obituary
Gilbert Flores, Jr., 74, of Palacios passed away Feb. 16, 2009. He was born May 5, 1934 in Palacios, TX to the late Gilbert Flores, Sr. and Agnes Broussard Flores. He was a retired Tug Boat Captain and served in the US Navy.
Survivors include his wife Norma Flores of Palacios; sons Steven Flores of Palacios, Michael Flores of Austin, Chris Rutherford, Brandon Flores & Bryan Flores all of Palacios; sisters Dorothy Anderson of Rockdale, TX and Joyce Flores of CA and five grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Palacios Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Palacios with Rev. Louis Rush officiating. Interment will follow at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Bobby Bickham, Melvin Bickham, Arthur Gonzales, Lawrence Kelly, Richard Sandate, and Richard Torres.
