Gerardo Martinez, 46, of Bay City passed away October 15, 2022.  He was born May 31, 1976 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Manuel Martinez and Maria E. Hernandez Martinez.

Gerardo was a Journeyman Electrician, who loved to help others. He was a great fan of sports, his favorite teams of all were The Tennessee Titans and The Texas Rangers. He loved to fish and cook, but most importantly spending time with family was his favorite hobby of all.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Martinez; Daughter Sadie Ruiz; parents Manuel and Maria E. Martinez; brother Victor Manuel Martinez and grandson Dominick Jay Ruiz.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating.  Interment will follow at the Matagorda Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Hector Hernandez, Steven Longoria, Victor Martinez, Luis Vasquez, Jose Barrientos, Juan Hernandez, Adrian Ruiz and Joshua Vic Martinez.
