Georgie Cerny, 72, of Bay City went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 after fighting a 7-month battle with breast cancer. She was born in Fairchild, Texas on December 15, 1939 to the late Joe & Willie Mae Orsak Silhavy. Georgie loved to garden and bake for her family. She spent many hours hunting with her husband and helping him on the farm. She loved her family and animals.

Georgie is survived by her loving husband of 53 years: Albert Cerny; 2 daughters: Dianne Cerny Dry & husband Jim and Elaine Dunn & husband Roland; 3 grandsons: Jacob Christopher Daniel, Jason Patrick Dunn, and Trevor Francis Dunn; 2 brothers: Raymond and Joe Silhavy; 2 sisters: Helen Deiss and Betty Kramer; and other family members & pets. She was preceded in death by her parents and niece Michele Deiss Ratcliff.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2012 at St. Peters Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Jared Stillions officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Raymond Silhavy, Jim Dry, Roland Dunn, Jacob Daniel, Jason Dunn, and Trevor Dunn.
