Obituary

George Dewey Hall, Jr., 90, was born in Edinburg, Texas to the late George Dewey Hall, Sr. and Ida Mae Adair Hall on December 17, 1921. He slipped the bonds of this earth on August 5, 2012.

He was raised in the Rio Grande Valley by his schoolteacher mother and graduated Salutatorian at El Jardin High School in Brownsville, TX in May 1939. George served his country during World War II as a civil servant attached to the 8th Air Force at the Warrington Air Base in England and at air bases in San Antonio. After the war, he met his wife. Brondelle Moseley in Brownsville where they began their 65 year-long romance.

Work took George to chemical plants in Texas and Mississippi and eventually to Bay City where he retired from Celanese. George was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Cradle of Texas Chapter. He is survived by his wife Brondelle; son Tim Hall and wife Susan, daughter Ann Patterson; grandchildren David Hall, Christopher Hall, Kristen Patterson, Stephanie and Sergio Perez, Jim Patterson and great grandchildren Mila and Penelope Perez.

Graveside services will be 9:00 AM Friday, August 10, 2012 at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City with Rev. Jeff Gantz officiating. The family will receive friends and family at the Bay House on the Legacy Campus following the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Bay City Public Library in his memory. His Grandchildren and fellow Cradle of Texas members will serve as honorary pallbearers.
