George Paul Goodman, 81, of Bay City passed away August 4, 2024.  He was born March 23, 1943 in Washington County ,Mississippi to the late John D. Goodman and Rose Eddie Applegate Goodman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister May Robertson; brothers Timothy Goodman, Billy Goodman and Phillip Goodman and a son James Clayton Goodman.

Survivors include daughter Marci Merecka (Gary); son George Paul Goodman II (Peggy); sisters Nancy Johnson and Mattie Wilson; brothers John William Goodman, James Roger Goodman, Daivd Goodman and Scotty Goodman; grandchildren James Goodman (Lindsay), Aaron Goodman (Elizabeth J.), Eric Weigt, Jr., Zachary Weigt, Andrew Weigt and Jordan Weigt and greatgrandchildren Danielle, Kaylee, Lila, Natalie, Connor, Kyle, Matthew, Zachary, Jr., Juliet, Kyle, Kenna and Adalyn.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, August 9, 2024 at Roselawn Memorial Park.

A luncheon will follow, at VFW Post 2438 in Bay City.
