George Fiala, 66, passed away on January 22, 2015. George was born on January 11, 1949 to the late Rudolf and Rita Belle Nicholds Fiala. George proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. George was a member of the Blessing Lions Club and the Blessing American Legion.George was a life member of VFW Post #2438.
George is survived by his son, Joey Fiala; sisters, Rose Fiala (Nelson) and Lisa Fiala (Richard) of Blessing; Grandson Chris Mitchell & wife Deidra; two great grandchildren and a great companion Frances Loihle of Blessing.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home under the auspices of VFW Post # 2438. Burial will follow on Thursday at the Veteran's Cemetery in Corpus Christi
