Genevieve A. Sanchez, 75, of Bay City passed away February 21, 2020. She was born January 30, 1945 in Glen Flora, TX to the late Belen Alameda and Narcissa Guerra Alameda.

Nieve was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with all of her family and friends. She was a loving and caring person who touched the lives of many. She is going to be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Federico Sanchez Sr.

Survivors include daughter Martha Ann Longoria; sons Federico Sanchez Jr. & his wife Annalisa L. Sanchez and Joe D. Sanchez & his wife Gina G. Sanchez; sisters Mary Gonzales and Christina Alameda Pedraza; brothers Albert Alameda Sr., Donald Alameda, Belen Alameda Jr. and Frank Alameda Sr.; grandchildren Amanda Chavez, Crystal Chavez, Cody Longoria, Jaime Nava Jr., Alyssa S. Espinoza, Joe Daniel Sanchez Jr., Branden Sanchez, Michael Garay, Jonathon Sanchez, Tiffany Sanchez and Cecily S. Trevino and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with a rosary service at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gabriel Espinosa officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.  Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
