Gene Paul Miller, 80, of Bay City passed away February 3, 2014. He was born September 2, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, to John Eugene Miller and Blanche Roegner Miller.

He served his county in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict where he taught electronics to NATO Students in Germany for 3 years. He was an I & E Forman for Mundy Co. at Celanese Plant for 11 years. He loved woodworking in his shop and was blessed with the ability to fix anything.

Survivors include his mother Blanche Miller of Bay City; wife Katherine (Collins) Miller of Bay City; son Stewart N. Miller (Nena Duvall) of Seabrook, TX; daughters Karen D. LaBouve (Ray) of Nederland, TX and Barbara A. Blanchard (James) of Friendswood, TX; grandchildren Christopher N. Miller (Trisha), Tyler C. Miller, Cornelia A. Miller, Jesse S. Miller, Cody I. Blanchard (Erin), Mitchell P. Blanchard, Katherine M. Blanchard and great grandchildren Madison Miller, Tessa Miller and Karlee Blanchard.

A memorial service honoring his life will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Russ Munch officiating. Memorials in his name may be made to The Food Pantry at the First United Methodist Church.
