Gary Ray Jones, 66, of Van Vleck was called home by Jesus on Sunday, August 31, 2014 and is now running on greener pastures. He was born November 14, 1947 in Bonne Terre, Missouri to the late Ray Jones and Doris Miller Jones. Gary was a Vietnam Veteran and an avid fisherman. He was retired from the Van Vleck Independent School District as a school bus driver. Gary's greatest joy was driving for the special needs children.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years: Gwynda Coston Jones of Van Vleck; 4 children: Jay Harvey & wife Stephanie of Goliad, Stephen Harvey & wife Tyrena of Van Vleck, Michelle Harvey Perez & husband Pete of Hillje, and Wesley Harvey & wife Michelle of Taylor; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother: Bryan Jones of Hazelwood, Missouri; Step-dad, Gene LeClaire, beloved dog Peyton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Charlene Carty.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Robert Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of your choice.
